Roadrunner Records sets trends in the music scene but I think they are going to start ripping off the current trends that are making their artists look bad. Enter 4-piece hard rock band Taking Dawn, an Avenged Sevenfold rip-off band that is all about saying “fuck” in their first track, just so you don’t hit the stop or pause button.

Time to Burn has got to be the worst start to any album. Lyrically this song sounds like a high school student wrote it to try and be friends with the jocks. I hate how it sounds and “fuck” is used way too much. That word ruins the song, I am not fucking kidding you. See now I am using the fucking word a lot, thanks Taking Dawn.

The rest of the album doesn’t get any better. Like a Revolution is a song that is asking listeners a question. Is this song like a revolution or do we like the song we wrote, Like a Revolution? I have no idea but hey let’s skip to Save Me, the Avenged Sevenfold b-side that the band must have stolen from their self-titled release.

Every single person in this band is at fault in fucking over Avenged Sevenfold, a band I really don’t even like! Mikey Cross loves to do shitty guitar breakdowns (Avenged Sevenfold), Chric Babbit might as well change his name to M. Shadow Babbit and Aalan Doucette…well his drumming isn’t that great. Oh yeah Andrew Crushing’s bass playing is almost non-existint so give him a high five because I won’t tease him.

Final Verdict
I really do think there should be a lawsuit over this band and their debut album, Time to Burn. It sounds too much like Avenged Sevenfold, this is not me trying to be funny. Roadrunner Records usually releases the bands everyone mimics, this time they signed the band to mimic somebody else. Skip this one and buy something else.
