Women from the eighties, wearing clothing that makes most men now laugh. Yeah that sums up Angel III: The Final Chapter. Now I know what you might be saying. What about the other two Angel movies? What about them? Why don’t we start from the third one and then go to the first movie in the series. It really shouldn’t matter since the fourth movie was only released on VHS so my reviews will never be complete, unless somebody has a copy of the VHS movie.

Molly Stewart is a freelance photographer in New York City. Molly runs into a woman at a local art show and looks very familiar to her. What Molly finds out, while in L.A., is this woman is her mother. Things don’t stop there as Molly Stewart finds out she has a sister too. The whole family reunion is cut short and Molly once again becomes Angel.

This movie has it all from sexual favored slavery, drugs, and porn movie theaters. Even at the beginning of the movie there are boobies in your face. And let me tell you for a 80s movie there are some pretty nice knockers in this movie. You will start to forget that there is an actual plot to the movie when you have so many big melons in front of you. This movie might not be the sort of movie you watch on a date night, unless you plan on doing something more than watching movies.

Angel III has some pretty great moments in it. Take example the part where Molly “Angel” Stewart pretends to give a pimp what he wants in the back of his car. Before the magic starts she pulls out a gun, steals his car, and gets away. As a whole this scene could have been axed I think but come on who wouldn’t want to see a pimp get his car jacked? The crappy dialogue alone will make you laugh your pants off.

Just to let The Young and the Restless fans know Molly Stewart is played by Mitzi Kapture, was was on that soap for 3 years. Kapture has done some other television (Baywatch, Silk Stalkings, etc.) so just to let you know you do get to see something. Two thumbs up but I personally think there are better pairs in the movie (I can’t stop talking about it, I know).

The film is presented in its original aspect ratio of 1.85:1. There are a few parts of graininess but from a movie made that long ago on a small budget. Some of the street scenes with the women are a little on the messy side but at least we can see the…I think you know what I am going to say so just deal with it and see this movie for what it’s worth.

Angel III: The Final Chapter is in Dolby Digital 1.0. The dialogue can be heard without many problems but you can hear some small noises from the picture. It doesn’t ruin the movie but what does ruin the movie a bit is the soundtrack. I really can’t say that I cared for the music in this movie and a lot of the times it never seemed to fit the situation too well.

So what does this DVD have in the extras category? Just a trailer to the movie, that’s it. Would it have killed them to throw in a little more?

Final Verdict
For a series that was all about teasing viewers with near sex, with so-called “Hollywood Movie Making”, Angel III: The Final Chapter really isn’t all that great. Sure there are enough boobs in this movie to make r-rated teenage boys happy, maybe even hook up a VHS machine to make a copy (old school baby). To those who want more than just tits might want to skip this one then because this is not the next Godfather or Citizen Kane.
