Drilling is the game and Mr. Driller is your man. This puzzle game is the grand daddy of them all. You drill down to your destination while avoiding numerous obstacles. Since the game is online now fans all around the world can dig this great puzzle. Wait you can play this game online?

Namco Bandai has possibly released the worst Xbox Live arcade game known to mankind. The games title is a lie; Mr. Driller Online has the worst online features ever seen in a game. Pressing the multiplayer option on the title screen will only result in agony and pain.

I can not play a single match online with this game and I am not the only one. If you are lucky to play this game online it is so goddamn slow. It seriously takes you a minute just to move your character down a few feet. This is a huge problem since online matches are timed.

Online play is just so broken. The only way Namco Bandai can make this up is by refunding everyone who bought this game. So far I’ve sent three emails and I got no replies. Ten dollars down the drain on a game I was looking forward too. All this game made me do was dust off my copy of the Nintendo DS version.

With the worst part of Mr. Driller Online out of the way let’s continue with some of the better parts of this game. The first appearance of Mr. Driller on the Xbox 360 will be known as a huge failure due to the poor online gameplay, but this is a good puzzle game. The game is a mix between Dig Dug and Tetris. Anybody can easily pick this game up and have a load of fun.

You could simply drill straight down and win every stage, but there is more to the game. The different colored blocks can hit others, giving you more points. On the side of the screen you have so much air in your tank so you will need to collect tanks on your way down. If you don’t then you character will die.

The game offers give levels, each with a higher difficulty setting. There are also quest levels that let your challenge your skills a little more. Mr. Driller Online seems real easy at first, but as your progress you will find yourself dying more often or achieving low scores. It’s all about matching the same color pieces and living to tell about it, that’s what Mr. Driller Online is all about.

Final Verdict
For ten dollars this game isn’t bad if you take off “online” from the title. Since this isn’t possible I have to give this game a bad rating. Single player mode is fun, but it can get a little hard at times. I would have had this review up sooner; I really thought I was having Internet problems when I was trying to play online. It turns out Mr. Driller Online is the worst online puzzle game on the Xbox Market Place.
