Super Rub A Dub If you don't know by now I am not to happy with Sony and their latest console, the expensive Playstation 3. A lot of their games are the same as Microsoft's X-Box 360 and with that system I can earn the oh so popular achievement points. What can I do with the PS3? Download exclusive movie trailers with a few more seconds, is that worth the price difference? No, but since this is a review on a PS3 game I don't want to get into my views on the Playstation 3 too much because I am the owner of one now. This doesn't mean I am a fan of the system now, but there is a little game called Super Rub A Dub that makes me feel like a kid again.

Super Rub A Dub is a CHEAP game. For only $2.99 and a connection to the Internet you can get this gem. This game started out as the tech demo for the PS3 and I thought it was stupid. True the water and rubber ducks look cool, but why would you show this off? Either way now that you can own this and you can do a lot more than watch rubber ducks in a water it's cool. The graphics are great and this puzzle game, yes Super Rub A Dub is a puzzle game, is as addictive as Tetris.

There are a total of sixty puzzles/stages. Each one lets you compare your total score with everyone else's and you can even watch the top fives videos. It is real neat to see how one person is able to beat a stage in five seconds and it took you twelve seconds. You get this plus four player action. Super Rub A Dub has a lot of features in this game and it didn't cost much at all.

Super Rub A DubOne thing that gets my blood boiling in Super Rub A Dub has to be the PS3 controller, also known as the Sixaxis. You move your duck by moving the controller and you jump by moving the controller up. Be very careful how you jump though this game can be rough if you move the controller up too fast to jump, I've fallen off numerous stages before doing this. In some of the later stages you can fall off just be moving, which can happen quite often with the use of your Playstation 3 controller. Moving the PS3 controller is not as nice as Nintendo's Wii-Mote so you will have to move slow at times when you really shouldn't have to. This can be very nerve wrecking and I found myself exiting the game and turning on my X-Box 360 to play another game.

Final Verdict
All in all I think Super Rub A Dub is an excellent game. I play this one almost every day, either moving on in the levels or trying to beat my old scores. For a low cost of $2.99 there is no reason you shouldn't try this one out, it's even cheaper than a Next Gen rental. This might not be the game that makes me change my mind with the PS3, but it does have the lasting feel that will make me turn on my Playstation 3 more than I thought I would.
