Adult Swim is the place to be for random ass cartoons. A majority of their shows now are spawning video games, most of which are nothing to talk about at the water cooler. Things are about to change though with Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, all of the humor that makes the show so good is here.

Can this be the best game out of all the Adult Swim games? It may be fair to say it is but how can you really screw up a lawyer simulation game? All of our favorite characters are here. Even all of the characters voices are here minus Stephen Colbert. Was it his choice or were the power to be saying no to him?

Fans of the Phoenix Wright games will be able to jump right into this game. The formula is just the same with a lot of comedy. One of the reasons why the Phoenix Wright series was good dealt with the Nintendo DS capabilities. It just doesn’t seem as fun as times when you press one or two buttons all the time. With the Nintendo DS it is a little more interactive, but Harvey Birdman will give your fingers a work out.

In order to win your case you will need to ask questions and find objects. When have you known fake nipples to help with a case? These are the kind of objects that add to most of the games humor. Presenting the clues and objects you find will help you win your case, giving you footage that will make you laugh your ass off.

That is one thing about this game. At times when playing this game I felt like I was watching extending episodes. This isn’t a problem since the show may be done with, but I thought this was a video game, right?

Harvey Birdman is a pretty short game too. You can go through and beat this game in a few hours. When you beat the game you will be treated to more cartoon footage. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but the best moments in this game happen when you play the actual game.

If you want to get more game play out of this game then try to forget all those times you played any of the Phoenix Wright games. Any sort of knowledge in those games will help you beat this game in a shorter amount of time. Renting this game once is all you need to beat this game, but fans will want to keep it around for the extra footage.

Final Verdict
Can I say this is the best Adult Swim video game? Yes. Can I say this is the best lawyer game? No. Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law isn’t half bad, but when you’ve played other lawyer games it falls short. Buying this game might be well worth it considering all the footage you get in here. Fans of the show should find more enjoyment out of the game than any of the DVDs, just for the fact you can interact with it.
