Halo 3

Halo 3 may be the last game in the serious but at least it goes out with a bang. With better graphics, a top notch soundtrack, amazing multiplayer features, and pretty much anything else you can think of Halo 3 has got it. This is the game Sony and Nintendo fan boys don't want you to play but if you have a Xbox 360 then you probably already own this game.

Halo 3

Halo 3 starts off where Halo 2 left out. Most fans were disappointed with Halo 2's ending but trust me the experience in the third game will make up for it. With hours of game play just through the normal difficulty setting you may never take this game out of your Xbox 360. It took me since 12:56 AM on Tuesday until 2:43 AM on Wednesday to beat Halo 3 on normal. Trust me when you first play this game you will loose track of time so fast, after I had a job interview, already with a lack of sleep, I was back on Halo 3. This is the ultimate FPS game on the Xbox 360 and it mainly has to do with online play.

The Xbox Live features are endless. My favorite feature added to Halo 3 has to be playing the campaign with three other people. Not only can you play with other people you can earn achievement points, which adds to the difficulty, you need to bring your A game to earn some of these achievements. Each stage has to earning a certain amount of points, kill everything in sight, don't die, and get head shots, all this will help with your ending score. If that wasn't enough you can find a skull in each level, this makes the stage harder and if you can complete the stage you will earn more achievement points, which will let you brag to everyone how great your Halo skills are.

Halo 3Bungie didn't stop with all this. You have the ability to save little videos, where you can share and exchange with your buddies or anybody else that plays Halo 3. Like that head shot kill you got on BigzBoyz? I'm sure you do, save it and remind them how you owned them with your skills.

Another neat feature added to Halo 3 is the Forge. You can add objects to existing stages in the Halo universe. Being able to make certain stages a land mine trap waiting to kill anyone sure does sound nice, but make sure you add in some nice weapon spawns to add some flavor. Of course you can share your stages on Xbox Live, another reason why Halo 3 is the ultimate FPS online experience.

If these things didn't get you excited Halo 3 does add in some new weapons, vehicles, bombs, and equipment. Equipment is new to the Halo series. Players can throw down such things as bubble shields, torrents, regeneration spots, and a few others that are necessary to complete Halo 3 on the hardest difficulty setting. The equipment feature, the items at least, have been seen in other FPS games before but remember this is a first for Halo and it really is a shame it took the last game to add this in.

Final Verdict
Halo 3 ranks supreme on the Xbox 360 and it will until Bungie releases their next big game. With improvements from graphics, game play and online play Halo 3 will not disappoint anybody. The campaign may seem short if you play the game non spot but just really stop and think when you put this game on, at first I thought it was too short on the normal setting then I realized I played this game too damn long. If you don't have an Xbox 360 then buy one right now with Halo 3. With over six thousand plus games being played non stop you can't go wrong.
