When it comes to gummies I either eat way too many or I eat one and then ask
myself why I am eating something so simple and dumb. Gummies usually have no
real taste to them, unless you spend the extra money to get fake fruit flavoring
or sour tastes. Loud Truck has a lineup of energy gummies and the first one I am
going to try out is the Citrus Blast.
These orange colored gummies looked nice when I opened up the bag but the citrus
aroma that came outside was a bit too overpowering. I wasn’t sure if that was
citrus I was really smelling or a weird sweetener smell that was soon going to
fill my mouth. As bad as the smell was too me I still ate two gummy bears and I
was so glad I did so.
Taste wise these gummy bears are pretty good. The overall texture is like a
quality gummy bear, one that isn’t sealed tight in a pre-packaged bag. The
gummies won’t stick to your mouth and the flavor only gets better when you start
sinking your teeth into them. As I chewed on my first gummy bear it seemed like
the citrus flavoring was getting stronger and stronger.
Around a half way through the bad I started to get a small aftertaste in my
mouth from the gummy bears. It was similar to a small serving bag of Sweet’N
Low, the tiny bags you get in restaurants to put in teas and coffee.
No more than an hour into my first half of the bag I could feel the energy
inside of my body. I had about as much energy I’d get from a small energy drink
can. I was perky enough to get my work done and I didn’t have to worry to
recycle a can.
This gummy if packed with B and C Vitamins. One 1 ounce bag has around 9 gummies
and it is recommend that one person has this package. The package does have a
nice little bold warning on the back about not giving this to children, which I
would have to agree with since energy inducing products are best kept to adults.
For only $1 per bag these energy gummies will get you a good few hours of
energy. I did get a slight crash at the three hour mark but that was cured with
the rest of my bag (I ate 6 gummies at first and then ate the last 3 in three
hours when I started to crash a little). When I finished up the bag I got
another good hour of energy. No hardcore crash after the bag was complete so
make sure to eat the bag in one sitting if you want to get a nice boost in your
day.
Final Verdict
Would you sacrifice smell for a good energy gummy treat? I would for Loud Truck
Energy Gummies. I felt the Citrus Blast gummy had a bad smell to it, but the
product made up for this downside with the taste and energy. Nine pieces isn’t a
whole lot in one bag if you are a fan of gummy bears but for a product like this
that isn’t too bad at for only a dollar you really can’t complain.
