Anything energy related seems to be taking over the market place. One of the
latest companies to enter the energy market is new comers LiveWire Energy.
They've managed to squeeze an entire energy drink into a small and tasty
soft-chew; no liquid to fill you up. With two fruit flavors focused on sustained
energy and two chocolate flavors focused on a potent caffeine kick. Can LiveWire
manage to get the attention they deserve?
The four flavors LiveWire has out right now are Citrus Mango, Pomaberry,
Chocolate, and Mint Chocolate. Each of these flavors definitely taste what the
package says and the energy the packages say you get is quite impressive.
The Citrus Mango energy chew is the original chew LiveWire Energy released. From
the start, the chew tasted real well. There was a wonderful fruity flavor that
did not want to go way, it was delicious. I could taste the mango with a hint of
citrus flavoring, it was simply fantastic.
Pomaberry is just like the last flavor. The combination of blueberries with
pomegranate is original, especially when it comes to energy chews. It seemed
like I got the same taste that I would have gotten from a pomegranate juice.
Again the flavor is delicious.
The other two flavors are chocolate based. First is just plain old chocolate. It
reminded me of tootsie rolls but a lot softer. No after taste at all, just like
the other energy chews. One of my favorite flavors from LiveWire Energy by far.
Last but not least is Mint Chocolate. This one tasted similar to the plain old
chocolate, just with a hint of mint. Nothing too strong, mint wise. Anybody that
hates mint shouldn't have a valued reason why they shouldn't try one.
One chew equals one 8oz energy drink. The fruit flavored chews have an optimal
80 mg caffeine plus a bunch of B-vitamins, ginseng and taurine. The chocolate
chew has 100 mg of caffeine and the mint flavor has the most caffeine at 120 mg;
and although both chocolates pack in a ton of extra caffeine they still manage
to have some of the other energy ingredients in there too. In order to get the
most energy LiveWire Energy says to take one chew for ultimate energy, you can
take two chews for extreme energy to chews, but whatever you do don't take more
than six chews in a day.
Energy wise one chew didn't do much for me, only gave me about an hour or two
worth of energy. When I took two chews I did get a lot more energy, however I
have a little problem. Taking two chews at once is a little too much so whatever
you do eat the two chews one at a time.
Since I am an energy-o-holic you have to realize that my results are different
from others. When one of our other staff members at the Review Busters tried the
Mint Chocolate chew he was full of energy and this was only with one chew.
Final Verdict
For a company that prides themselves off of extreme amounts of energy from two
chews I would have to say they have all the right to do so. LiveWire Energy has
managed to create four great tasting chews. If you want high levels of energy
then you better take two like they said, you'll feel the rush.
