Energy drinks may be one of the most popular beverages among teenagers and young adults, but there is one thing that is causing older men and women from drinking them. To help things out every company released a few light versions of their favorite drinks and Guru is doing the same. Is Guru Lite just as good as the original Guru or should you avoid it at all costs?

When an energy drink is natural and organic they tend to avoid making a light version. Guru is thinking outside of the box and they released a light version of the original Guru energy drink. The taste of this drinking is surprisingly real good. To me the cherry taste that the original Guru had is much stronger here, which I really enjoyed. My only real problem I had with Guru Lite was the fact the aftertaste was a tad overwhelming.

Without any taurine in here you would think there is no energy from Guru’s line of drinks, right? To a point you would be right because Guru Lite didn’t seem to give me as much energy as I was looking for. I got a standard one to two hour buzz, followed by a slight case of heavy eyes. I forced myself to stay up, but the damage was already done.

Final Verdict
Overall I think Guru Lite is a decent light energy drink. The cherry taste is much more powerful in the light version. My only real problem here is I did not get too much energy. This might work on others differently, but I think you should give this one a shot just for the taste.
