Organic energy drinks are starting to take over the market place like a
firestorm. Any where you go; there is a new drink that is better than the last
one, both in flavor and content. Guru’s line of energy drinks promises all of
this and Superfruit is leading these drinks in the right direction.
The Superfruit flavor combines yumberry and pomegranate along with a few other
ingredients. These are the kind of ingredients that leave the drink with a nice
flavor going down, but the aftertaste is nothing to brag about. The sweet taste
left my mouth wanting something else to wash away the taste. When I was drinking
the beverage I was enjoying myself though, which is a shame because with a drink
that tasted this good I wish I could have enjoyed it even more.
On the can it says how you should drink this ice cold and you need to shake it.
These are both true statements, drinking this one warm seemed to make the flavor
a lot weaker. Towards the bottom is it a whole different story, however if you
shake the can then you won’t have this problem. Bottom line, listen to the can.
With all of the healthy ingredients this can has 120 calories per serving (one
can serves 1.5). The sugar level is low with only 29 grams. This energy
supplement though made me a little tired after two hours, but it was not a
complete crash like other drinks give.
Final Verdict
Guru Superfruit is a fine beverage that goes down nice but it does not want to
sit well. The aftertaste was a little too much for me. Overall I think this
drink is very good, this one flaw does not make it the worst energy drink on the
market. Defiantly give it a chance.
